SAACC About Us

The Association is dedicated to:

The preservation, restoration and enjoyment of all antique, collectable, special interest, hot rods, customs / modified, rat rods, street rods (cars, trucks and/or motorcycles!)
Bringing all related Saskatchewan clubs together in the promotion and protection of our hobby
Working with all levels of government and related agencies in the development of realistic and practical legislation

The SAACC is Open To All, Clubs and Individuals, with this common interest in motorized vehicles.

Over the past few years, the SAACC has recognized individuals at the Draggin's Car Show, traditionally held on Easter weekend, in Saskatoon and the Majestics' Car Show held within weeks after that in Regina.

We have presented a few notable individuals with the Directors Award in recognition of those who best reflected our values of promoting the enjoyment of the hobby by sharing their passion with the public.

We are a collective voice representing 1063 members strong across 30 Clubs as of March 2024 and growing. Individual membership is welcome as there is strength in numbers.

Hobbyist's Concerns

Vehicle licensing regulations that enable the use and enjoyment of our vehicles.
Collector vehicle insurance that meets our needs at a reasonable price.
Municipal bylaws such as the so-called junker bylaws that restrict our hobby.
 Out-of-province inspections.
Well-intended government legislation with a negative impact on our hobby.
 Crusher laws.

These are but a sample of the topics clubs bring to our meetings. We act on behalf of you, our members, to ensure our continued enjoyment of our hobby.

HOW DOES THE SAACC WORK?

All are welcome to attend our meetings which are held twice a year. YOU have the opportunity to play an active and important role in the discussion of issues affecting all of us in the hobby.

Each Club may select two representatives to attend the meetings. Only those two, along with their Club President, would have the opportunity to cast a vote on matters and it is they that elect the Board of Directors. All are welcome to attend and to put their name forward for any of the positions.

The Board acts on two fronts. It represents the membership to all levels of government. The Board is also responsible for monitoring legislation and making member clubs aware of possible concerns.

If you have a specific topic you would like to bring to our attention, please don't wait for a meeting. Give us a call!  Mel (306-948-5449) or Steve (306-756-2445) are available to take your information and accelerate it to the next level, as required.

As an individual, you would be considered an Associate. Voting rights are not extended to this designation. See How to Join for more information.
